Your Tri-Village Lady Patriots advanced to the sectional finals with a big win on Thursday night. The Lady Pats matched up with CCC opponent Tri-County North for second round action at Brookville. Tri-Village got off to a quick start with a 20-0 first quarter lead, followed up by a 44-4 halftime advantage. The benches would be emptied and the running clock rule would go into effect as the Lady Patriots would go on to win by the final score of 76-16.
Delanee Gray would lead all scorers with 18 points as she hit six three-pointers and dished 5 assists. Torie Richards scored 17 points of her own and had 5 assists. Rylee Sagester bagged three treys for 14 points while handing out 5 dimes. Meghan Downing played an all-around game with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals, and 4 blocks. Morgan Hunt scored 9 points to go along with 4 assists and 3 steals. The Lady Patriots would shoot 57% from the field and assisted on 27 of 29 made shots.
Tri-Village gets their 20th win of the season to improve to 20-2 on the year. This marks 7 straight seasons of 20 wins or more for the program (10 of the last 11). They now advance to play Franklin Monroe in the sectional finals on Monday night. This game will now be played at Versailles High School with an 8:00 tip-off.
